Who’s Smarter? You or Your Smart Meter?

There’s a lot of hustle and bustle around smart meter deployment in Burbank, California, and other major cities in the nation, including Naperville, Illinois on how safe these digital RF (radio-frequency) meters are that will replace analogue meters to our health. Each municipality is unique in handling this issue.

There’s not enough known about the potential dangers that constant exposure to microbursts of ‘dirty electricity’ running through a home or condo can cause on a long term basis, especially homes and offices that are already WIFI enabled, close to a WIFI cell tower or building. Evidence of ‘electrohypersensitivity’ (EHS) is only beginning to surface, and there is no diagnostic code for it in the US, but it is a common problem in Europe that is being addressed as a public health (disability) issue. In Germany, reports indicate that ~8% of their population is affected.

The veto by Governor Quinn to stop deployment of smart meters, because of potential higher annual rates commonly imposed to taxpayers by COMED was overidden by Illinois legislature to deploy smart meters to every home, office and building with a population density that already overuses cell phones, cordless phones, and WIFI-enabled technologies. The position held by by the AAEM (American Academy of Environmental Medicine) shows that we don’t know enough of the imminent dangers of being constantly bombarded by this cumulative dosing of the effects of smart meters.

Newer homes are exempt from opting out, and many consumers are unaware that they do have a voice, and can request keeping their analogue meters, but should work with local coalitions of community-minded activists to help make your voice heard. It takes a consistent, concerted effort by you and many others to speak with  your neighbors, schools, and businesses, to collectively have a voice in protecting your neighborhoods, and remain ‘off grid’, and to reduce exposure to non-ionizing RF radiation.

As more and more doctors face treating patients, who have signs of electrosensitivity, especially children who have chronic headaches, or can’t sleep at night, or feel exhausted for no reason due to chronic exposure at school, work or home, this will become a public health issue here as well.

It’s only a matter of time before we hit the point of no return. It’s a time bomb ticking away with no one watching. So protect yourself, your family,  your children, and grandchildren!(In Illinois). The additional opt out fees seem more like a punishment versus an incentive to exert your inalienable rights as a citizen to choose to live and think freely, and protect our communities from potential health risks that will be expensive for our country to bear in the long run. Take action while there is time yet to stand up and be counted! Your voice counts! (In Illinois) Check out your state to see who you can contact to stop smart meters in your neighborhood.(www.stopsmartmeters.org is a clearinghouse for all states).

Time for Spring Cleaning!

Well, spring arrived early this year, and actually felt like summer with out mid-80 degree weather! The change of season has caused trees to bloom ahead of the daffodils and tulips, and winter turned into spring/summer, while the rest of the country is also experiencing weather reversal patterns. The Earth is changing. So are we! As surreal as it is, it’s no better time than now to do some spring cleaning, maybe it’s time to do a detox program as well.

Clear our minds, our hearts and our bodies while we’re at it! One good thing to do is to eat with the season, and eat locally! Also, time to eat simply for a week, without processed foods that tax our system, and increase the low level inflammation we call ‘aging’ . Eat lots of cooked organic greens, and hydrate, and give your intestines a clean sweep, and also ease the digestive processes. In other words, reset your clock! Simplify your life!

If you have a weekend off, consider a spa day, where you do things totally dedicated to your health, like a Goddess or God day, in honoring your Temple within. Take a long stroll in the sunshine, along the lake or ocean, a long mineral bath soak, do a juice fast, meditate alone or with a group of kindred spirits. Enjoy being and living in the now!

Rest early, wake up to greet the sunrise. Do some yoga, or qigong to balance yourself, ground yourself! Whatever you do, find joy, peace, happiness, and gratitude in your life, and choose to do the things you love to do, bring passion into your life! You can do it!

Taking the first step is the most important decision of your life!

sacred heart

When we know that times are changing,  then we must make changes as well. Often the hardest step to take is the first one, because it involves making a commitment to oneself to a new path, way of being, or new thinking patterns.

So, putting your mind into action, your heart in gear, and opening up to share your gifts with others, while mustering the courage to face the unknown is what’s needed most. Then, taking the next step becomes easier, and eventually when the many steps have been taken, it will seem effortless when looking back. So, go ahead, allow yourself to move forward. it’s time to take that first step NOW!

As the economy is changing, and the world is changing, and the old ways and systems are being replaced with new ways, there’s no turning back. So, embrace the change, smile,  let the new you emerge, and follow your heart and passions to where they may lead you.

Synchronicity- there is always time to do the things you love?

Do you ever have that feeling that everything is just flowing together, because you are going with the flow, and not getting in your own way? You are surrendering to the moment, and seeing what possibilities and opportunities arise because you are in a state of open readiness. In those moments, it’s as if time is standing still for you. Perhaps it is!

Perhaps, that’s all synchronicity is, by being in tune with the Universal time that connects us with one another and everything else that’s happening in our world. By synchronizing ourselves with the Universal Clock,  we can move forward effortlessly and with ease.

When you realize time is just a concept that exists in our linear reality, then you can move around time to speed it up or slow it down at will, and use it to attune yourself with your highest intentions. Remember, there’s always enough time to do the things you love to do. So, always make time for yourself, your dreams and your passion.

Each day be grateful for all the things that you’ve accomplished, and then move forward again. There will always be time to do the things that are most important for you to do. There’s always today to begin taking the first steps. It’s time to connect with your Universal Clock, as you are always in sync with your timing. Isn’t that a nice thing?

Preparedness- How Ready Are We?

I’ve been following the news in Japan since Friday and have been wondering about so much, and what can be done in a matter of minutes, hours, days? It seems endless, and I look into the people’s eyes and know they are hoping, wishing, wondering if things are getting better, help is enough, is there enough food, time, a place to live afterwards?

Then, I think about us here in the US, and wonder if we are prepared for a similar situation? Will we be as organized, civilized, humane with one another, or will it be chaotic? The minutes are ticking by, and we are watching, listening to see if there is containment of the reactors. Japan seems so far, yet the issues seem so close to home.

I’ve looked up the necessary information needed for preparedness needed to create a disaster kit 101. It also contains common sense, and awareness, and the ability to share, and support and care for one other in the time of need. Everyone must pitch in, and have a sense of community, caring and wisdom. This is most important!

I understand physics, fission, environmental, and medical concerns that must be running through the minds of all those waiting to find out whether the nuclear reactor situation is contained.

Meanwhile, meditation, prayer, intention and hope are things we can envision and offer at this time when so much is going on in such a short period of time, one weekend. Four days. It feels like an eternity when questions remain unanswered. Priorities shift and move, and make it impossible to see the world in the same way as I did last week. It’s important now to have a greater vision of the whole, and that we all share this planet Earth together to live on.

I was hoping I’d find the answers at the Japanese Buddhist Temple on Sunday, or any updates on those in Japan. It is so important to feel connected, in tune, and in sync with what is happening, as we all will be affected by what is happening for a long time ahead. How ready are we? It’s time to do our homework now and prepare.

Most people know that meditation contributes to the physical, mental and emotional being of the body. However, people seem to not meditate because they believe that they have to sit down for hours and meditate. This is not true. It is not the duration of meditation that is important. It is how deeply immersed you become in your daily meditation. This can be achieved in 20 minutes if done correctly. With time, you can achieve a deep state of calmness immediately. Read this exercise to experience the fruits of meditation-Inner peace, Joy, and Divine Energy!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

Choose a place to do your daily meditation. It is essential that you use this same place everyday to build up the positive, meditative vibes that will get you into deep meditation within a short time. Remember to keep this sacred place clean. If you have a separate room that can be used for meditation, that is great! If you don’t have a room just for yourself to meditate, you can close off part of a room or pick a comfortable place or corner in the room where you will not be disturbed. When you decide to meditate, make sure the room does not have any distractions such as noise, pollution or other people. The temperature should be pleasant. I highly recommend to keep a window open to allow the fresh air to circulate. This will keep you awake and alert while you meditate. Continue reading

Matching Your Inner Vision with Your Outer Vision

stringed lagoon

How true! MInd-Body Healing starts with understanding that we are what we think and feel and believe. Our body-mind is connected to our emotions and thoughts in more ways than one. We have access to this process in the holistic approach to health and wellness, through meditation, prayer, positive thinking, and stress reduction. At all times, we are always creating and recreating our reality to match our inner vision with our outer vision reality. The key is to know that all change occurs from within, from the inside out. How you see your inner world can dramatically change your perception of the outer world. So, take a minute or two to contemplate, meditate, breathe deeply and find your center. Stay in that sacred space as long as you can, and feel connected to your inner peace, and to everyone you love. That’s where the true healing begins! Continue reading
